Architectural workshop of Sergei Makhno presented the project "Allusion to the Loft." The apartment Design has an area of 120 square meters. meters are located in Kiev, Ukraine.

Once on the site of this housing in the old Kiev house, there were three separate apartments. The previous history of the space had almost no effect on its re-design, although the process of building at times resembled archaeological excavations.

Under a thick layer of plaster found an old brick masonry and textured metal channels. After a minor restoration, they became the main interior accents, with which they compared the chosen furniture and decor.

The light allusion to the loft dictated the appearance of industrial lighting, as well as daylight lamps, the location of which on the wall like a game of "Tetris".

To soften the industrial aesthetics a little, we introduced natural colors and a warm texture of the wood - some of the walls were decorated with a parquet board made of wenge and golden oak.

Finally, the interior was decorated with antiques from the owner's collection, as well as a collection of high-quality Soviet painting. All this works in contrast to modern design items, including bar stools, bright Magis armchairs, and the iconic B & B Italia sofa.
