When you decide to remodel your bathroom, there is a lot to for you to do; one of the most important tasks is to choose the flooring type.
The wrong choice of flooring types is a disaster as water and moist will destroy it quickly and you will have to replace it.
The proper choice saves you money and effort for the first time, which is why flooring choice in the bathroom is a lot different from in any other part of your flat. In this article, we will discuss the best flooring option for your bathroom in terms of cost durability and look.

1. Porcelain/Ceramic Tiles
The most common choice for bathroom flooring over the world. It shows a great value for style, waterproof and budget friendly. The most important difference for porcelain that it has less water absorption than ordinary ceramic tiles, besides that they are nearly the same. The tiles come in hundreds of shapes, types qualities, and colors as it will give you nearly any look you are searching for. Some downsides are also present s they are usually cold and slippery. Radiant tiles can solve this and use smaller one to be less slippery as more grout is used.

2. Natural Stone
A great choice in general but it is by far the most expensive option. It has a great look, it is so customizable, however, it is considered cold and slippery, and there are some reported problems with moisture when using marble, limestone, and granite. Apparently, the natural stone is not your best option.

3. Vinyl Tiles
One of the most popular choices for bathroom flooring. Vinyl is easy to install you might not need specific workers and go for DIY. It is available in thousands of colors and options. They are excellent in cases of large amounts of water will be falling on the floor as in children’s bathroom. The sheet vinyl is a bit difficult for you to install it by yourself though.

4. Engineered Wood
If you are a wood lover even in the bathroom, engineered wood is better than solid ordinary wood. It is supplied with a wood base to support the floor against moisture and of course, it looks amazing as the finish is real processed wood.

5. Solid Hardwood
Although it looks great and feels warm when you step on it but it is one of your last options. Moist is a killer for hardwood. If you have no choice but hardwood, you need to get professional installers to get the job done. You have to make sure that the installation is perfect and no any gaps in moisture.

6. Carpet
Nearly the worst option for your bathroom flooring. Moisture will ruin it eventually. Anyway if you have no choice make sure that the carpet is zero organic material such as an olefin.

7. Laminate Flooring.
It is a good choice but on one condition that you take precautions to protect the wooden base from moisture.
